I consider myself an eclectic clinician meaning that I practice therapy utilizing multiple theoretical approaches and techniques based on the self-identified needs of the individuals I serve. I practice from a person-centered, mindfulness-based, trauma-informed approach. Some therapy modalities that I most often draw upon are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

During the day, I am a Licensing Inspector for the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services within the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. I am also an Adjunct Professor for Bryant University, teaching Gender in Childhood. My availability for counseling is limited and I am not currently accepting new patients. When I am accepting new patients, I practice therapy through a group practice, Kristen Sullivan & Associates.
